Plain English: KMS is a tool that reports and estimates numbers based on what you and your integrations enter — it does not replace your own judgment, your POS system of record, or your accountant. You're responsible for verifying figures that affect money before you act on them. We're responsible for keeping the product working and your data yours.
KMS (kitchen.management) is a back-of-house management tool operated by Archive Table LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("Archive Table," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using KMS, you ("you," the "operator") agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the product.
KMS is under active development. Features change, and we are not yet a company with a multi-year track record. The service — including all calculations, estimates, alerts, and the AI-generated brief — is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Food cost percentages, labor cost projections, variance figures, price-spike alerts, and any other financial or operational number shown in KMS are calculated from data you enter or that a connected integration (Toast, Square, etc.) provides. They are estimates, not audited financial statements. Garbage in the source data produces garbage out — a stale par level, an unposted invoice, or a POS sync gap will skew a number without KMS being able to detect it.
You are responsible for verifying any number before you rely on it for a purchasing, staffing, pricing, or accounting decision. KMS is a decision-support tool, not a replacement for your point-of-sale system of record, your bookkeeper, or your own judgment as the operator.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Archive Table LLC and its founders/contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, spoiled inventory, or a purchasing/staffing decision made based on a KMS number that turned out to be wrong — arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of KMS is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 3 months before the claim arose (or $100 if you were on a free/beta tier).
If you connect Toast, Square, Stripe, or another third-party service, you authorize KMS to read (and, only where explicitly described in-product, write) data through that integration. We are not responsible for outages, data errors, or policy changes on the third party's side. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe under its own terms — we never see or store your card numbers.
You own the operational data you enter into KMS (inventory counts, prep lists, food cost entries, compliance logs, etc.). We host it to operate the product for you. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and protect it. If you cancel, you can request an export of your data before deletion.
Don't use KMS to store data you don't have the right to store, attempt to access another operator's data, reverse-engineer the product, or use it in a way that risks the security or availability of the service for other users.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. For material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.
